Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Wednesday evening defeated Guinea-Bissau to earn maximum nine points to top Group D at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Two second-half goals from striker Umar Sadiq and defender Williams Trost-Ekong put the Eagles ahead following a goalless first 45 minutes.
Sadiq put the Eagles ahead with a tap in from a Kelechi Iheanacho’s square ball on 54th-minute, before captain Ekong scored from a rebound off the woodwork.

The Super Eagles have so far established themselves as one of the favorites to win the tournament.
A convincing victory over Egypt, followed by another against Sudan, ensured the Super Eagles qualified as the top of the group, regardless of the outcome of Wednesday’s match.
With the victory, Nigeria is the only team that reached the last 16 round winning all group matches at the 33rd AFCON.
