Liverpool top stars, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are very likely to compete at the final stage of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

The duo have played important roles to ensured that their various countries qualify for the semi-finals of the 33rd AFCON.

Salah plays for Egypt as Mane is a representative of Senegal and both who have been allies at Anfield may turn out to be rivals when they go head-to-head in the final round of the tournament.

The former Chelsea star, Salah grabbed a goal as he also assisted the second in side’s 2-1 victory over Morocco in the quarter-final.

The match ended in a 1-1 tie but the Pharaohs got on top of the Atlas Lions through Ashraf goal in the first 10 minute of the extra-time.

Although, the 29-year-old Mane was not able to register his name on the score-sheet, his contribution was immeasurable as the Lions of Teranga defeated Equatorial Guinea 3-1.

Egypt will clash against the Indomitable Lions when Aliou Cissé’s men will also be heading on Burkina Faso (The Stallions) in the semi-finals.

Should both Carlos Queiroz and Senegal proceed to final, Salah and Mane would want to lead their respective countries to glory. What a great battle that would be!
