Football Fans Club of Nigeria, FFCN, just broke silence since the Super Eagles were crashed out of the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Recall, Tunisia eliminated Nigeria at the round of 16 of the competition with a slim 1-0 victory after the Eagles’ impressive display in the group stage.

Following the elimination, many people put the blame on the players, some on the coach, some on the referee while others on the President of the country.

In any events, FFCN revealed its members felt disappointed at the result of the game that sent Nigeria parking from the tournament.

FFCN is the club saddled with the responsibility of singing and cheering national teams of Nigeria.

The club added that the faces of it’s members were awashed with tears while vacating Roumde Adija Stadium in Garoua where the match held.

According to Complete Sports, Ogunfuwa said: “We were so disappointed because it wasn’t something we were expecting.”

“We won all our group matches and all that we were hoping for was to get to the final but it’s disheartening we had to go home early at this stage.

“The fact that one of them [Alex Iwobi] got a red card was a minus to us. We gave them all the full support they needed. Even when the Tunisians scored first, we were still cheering and clapping for them.

“We as members of the supporters club felt let down and we left the stadium in tears.

“My eyes are still swollen and I have found it difficult to sleep since then.”
