President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has applauded the Super Eagles for a beautiful start at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Nigerian senior team left a lot of mouths agape as they did not only beat but dominated the Pharaohs of Egypt in their opener in Garoua, Cameroon on Tuesday.
Their victory since Tuesday has therefore, been attracting reactions from different angles of the world.

Meanwhile, the former Senate President has also wished the Eagles best of luck
The number one citizen of Nigeria praised the Eagles via a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina which was released on Wednesday.
The President hoped just like millions of Nigerian football fans, that the outstanding match against Egypt in Cameroon is the expectation of what will also happen when Nigeria clashes against Sudan in their next AFCON tie.

He therefore, appealed to the Eagles’ interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen and the coaching staff to focus on the ball.
He also urged them to continue to represent Nigeria well even outside the pitch as he also assured all Nigerians more exhilarating moments to celebrate.
Meanwhile, the president has also guaranteed Nigeria his unshrinking backing.
