Nigerian Air Force launches coordinated raids after insurgents ambushed troops
Over 35 terrorists neutralised in precision strikes across four locations
Operation intensifies efforts to block logistics and regain battlefield control
The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed the killing of more than 35 terrorists in air raids conducted along the Nigeria–Cameroon frontier.
The operation, carried out on Saturday, followed an ambush attempt by insurgents against ground troops stationed in the region.

In a statement, the force disclosed that “acting on multiple intelligence from several sources, the Air Component executed precision strikes in successive passes, engaging the terrorists and neutralising more than 35 fighters at four identified assembly areas.”
The Air Force further confirmed it re-established contact with soldiers who came under threat, and they verified that “the situation around their location had been stabilised.”
Officials emphasised that the mission has intensified efforts to sustain dominance in the region and “deny terrorists freedom of action.”
Although Nigeria’s 16-year insurgency has weakened from its peak in 2015, there has been a resurgence of attacks since the beginning of the year.
The Air Force added that the latest strikes reaffirm its resolve to back ground forces “while also disrupting terrorist logistics and movement corridors along the north east border regions.”
