Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, a businessman, and socialite, kept his promise by offering Ajah Hawker, Jeremiah Ekumah a letter of scholarship.
Earlier this week, Ekuma, a young hawker in Lagos’ Ajah neighborhood, was caught on camera giving money to people being transported to prison in a Nigerian Correctional Service van.
Obi Cubana, the chairman of the Cubana Group, stated last Saturday in an interview with media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, that he intends to fund the young boy’s tertiary education at any institution of his choice.
Obi Cubana kept his promise and shared photos of the young man who received his scholarship letter from the Cubana Group on Saturday.
Obi Cubana revealed on his Instagram page that one Mr. and Mrs. Afuah, who live in Canada, have given Ekuma a monthly salary of N100,000 until he completes his education.

He has received his scholarship letter from Cubana Group! Thank God for His unfathomable Grace! We ran into Mr. and Mrs. Afuah @iam hymans, who are based in Canada, last night at Cubana Lagos, and he introduced himself and said he wanted to reach out to Jerry.
“We all got together this afternoon in Lagos. He promised Jerry (and began paying him immediately) a monthly salary of 100,000 from today until he graduates from school.
