Akeredolu: Opere Condoles With Ondo Citizens, Calls For Harmony | Daily Report Nigeria

Comrade Abednigo Samuel Opere, an Ijaw youth leader in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State has condoled with citizens of the state over the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Akeredolu died on Wednesday morning in faraway Germany following a protracted ailment.

Opere, who is the Treasurer of Ijaw Youths Council in Western Zone comprising Delta, Edo and Ondo states, described Akeredolu’s death as a ‘loss too much to bear’ for citizens.

The youth leader particularly condoled with the Akeredolu’s, and charged the party to bury all infighting as a sign of respect to a ‘fallen hero’.

He said, “I received with deep regret the death of our amiable governor, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), who until his death was a true leader of our people.

“I condole with the immediate family and pray for God to grant them the fortitude to bear this loss that is too much to bear.

“May I also use this means to call on the party to forgo all differences by harmonizing all structures as a sign of respect to our fallen hero.”

Meanwhile, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who was deputy to the Akeredolu has already been sworn in to replace the deceased governor.
