Mudiaga Eric Akise, a second-class graduate in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) is dead.
Akise lost his life while playing football with friends on January 24, 2024, according to the family.
Mudiaga, known for his passion for sports and academic excellence, was enjoying a friendly match when the unforeseen incident occurred.
His demise was announced by his father, Mudiaga Ufuoma Sohwo, who took to various WhatsApp platforms to share the sad news.

“My son Mudiaga Eric Akise a second class upper graduate of Maths/Statistics university of Portharcourt died while playing football with friends on 24 January 2024. Family please pray for me and his his soul,” the distraught father wrote.
Reports insisted that despite the efforts of those around him, he could not be revived.
His untimely departure has left family, friends, and the entire university community in shock and grief.
The Akise family has requested prayers during this difficult time.
They remember Mudiaga as a dedicated son, a loyal friend, and a promising scholar.
