  • Akpabio’s Wife Reacts to Allegations*: Ekaette Akpabio, the wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has denied allegations of sexual harassment made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
  • Mrs. Akpabio described the allegations as “unfounded” and “false.”
  • She stated that she was present at their residence on the alleged date, December 8, 2023.

The wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Ekaette Akpabio, has dismissed allegations of sexual harassment against her husband made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central).

Speaking to journalists on Friday, Mrs. Akpabio described her husband as a “disciplined and jovial man,” rejecting the claims as “false and baseless. ”

Akpoti-Uduaghan alleged on Arise TV’s The Morning Show that her clash with Akpabio over seating arrangements at the Senate stemmed from sexual harassment she suffered from the Senate President.

However, Mrs. Akpabio maintained that the claims were entirely fabricated, stating that she was present at their residence on the alleged date, December 8, 2023.

“The allegations are unfounded, as she was present at her family residence on the alleged date 8th December, 2023. Both families enjoy a long-standing cordial relationship that predates Senator Natasha’s marriage to her husband,” Mrs. Akpabio said.

She praised her husband’s commitment to women’s inclusion in governance and insisted that he has always upheld respect for women.
