Students under the aegis of National Union of Alabeni Students (NUAS) have identified education as the key to a sustainable future.

The above formed the theme of the 13th annual convention of the student body in collaboration with the National Association of Kou Students, NAKS.

The 3-day convention which held between December 26 and 28, took place at Amazor community in Ekeremor Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

NUAS President, Comrade Oweizide Mercy Eniebi and her NAKS counterpart, Comrade Suwa Akpos Jerry in flagging off the convention, tasked parents to prioritise making the right educational investments in their wards.

The duo also charged young ones in the area to show commitment to their education pursuit, stressing that knowledge itself is power in many regards.

The event, which attracted the presence of students and youth leaders from various states across the Niger Delta featured community service, distribution of writing materials, cultural displays, awareness rally, games, health talk, and more.

NUAS is the umbrella body of all students within Alabeni territories.
