He said, “Alamieyeseigha have his all for Ijaw nation. He was a true ijaw man who saw the Ijaw man from Ondo down to akwa Ibom as his subjects, and as his people. This earned him the title “the Governor General of Ijaw Nation.”
“He fought hard to ensure that Ijaws were not shortchanged by the federal government and laid a foundation of a beautiful Bayelsa state and was so much in the struggle.
“He was victimized by the federal government for speaking up, for standing up for Ijaw people and died having experienced betrayal from the same Ijaw people. May his soul forgive us.
“If Ijaw Nation fails today, it wouldn’t be the fault of ALAMCO and all our heroes past and present. It would be our fault for not consolidating on the works of this great son of Ijaw Nation.
On why Bayelsa is almost like how it was from the time Alamieyeseigha left office, the frontline aspirant for Speakership aspirant of the Ijaw Youth Council said;
“I admonish Ijaw people to shun harsh judgment and remember our heroes for their sacrifices.
“I also want to call on our Miracle Governor, Douye Diri to declare October 10th a public holiday in Bayelsa state. It is only fair and it is the least we can do to honor this great man who lived and died for Ijaw people and for Bayelsa state,” he added.
