Alex Iwobi, the Super Eagles and Fulham attacking midfielder, expressed his elation after scoring a decisive late goal to secure a victory against Manchester United under Erik Ten Haag’s management.

Despite facing criticism following Nigeria’s AFCON 2023 final defeat against Ivory Coast, the 27-year-old silenced his detractors by delivering a standout performance for the Cottagers.

Having joined Fulham last summer, Iwobi has made 23 appearances for Marco Silva’s team and netted his fifth goal for the club in today’s match.

After the game, the former Arsenal player couldn’t hide his happiness and emphasized the significance of his goal.

“I’m over the moon right now, to win at Old Trafford in the last minute is crazy, there’s no better feeling. We feel like we performed really well, we’ve been performing well recently, and today is a step in the right direction and hopefully, we can kick on from there,”
