Iwobi, who contributed an assist in the Super Eagles’ recent 2-1 triumph over archrivals Ghana, emphasized the importance of maintaining their winning streak against Mali.
“We have analysed and seen our weak points from the last game. We know where we need to improve and what we can do to get another win,” Iwobi said ahead of the game.
“We don’t really win most of our friendlies. We beat Ghana and hopefully will end this international break with another win against Mali.”
Reflecting on their previous encounters, Nigeria emerged victorious with a 1-0 win against Mali on May 27, 2016, with Kelechi Iheanacho scoring the decisive goal in a match held in the French city of Rouen.
