They said that Adamu had months ago, threatened those mourning Deborah Samuel, the 21-year-old student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, who was killed over alleged blasphemy in May 2022.

It was gathered that the accused while sharing a photo of a T-shirt with Deborah’s image, threatened that anyone who wears it would be severely dealt with in Bauchi State.

He had said:

DUK WANDA YASA WANNAN RIGAR AH BAUCHI SAI MUNCHI UWARSA,” which was translated as “WHOSOEVER WEARS THIS SHIRT IN BAUCHI WILL BE DEALT WITH….. SEVERELY!!!”

@sifonegirlkema while tagging Amuni’s post partly said:

“This is him mocking Deborah’s death…KARMA caught up with him.”

Another tweep, @firstladyship party said:

Amuni rejoiced over Deborah’s death. What kind of indoctrination is that? Why inherit the hate of your forefathers? … Karma, Religion & Tribalism are weapons fashioned against u, only.”

Earlier, some good Nigerians had called for Aminu’s release on Twitter following the news of his arrest.

However, they have since dissociated from him, with many saying he deserves the treatment being meted out to him.
