AMAA Founder, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe Is Dead

Nigerian filmmaker and founder of the African Movie Academy Awards, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe is dead.

Anyiam-Osigwe, who was born on March 30 reportedly died in Lagos.

Her colleague, Obi Emelonye
confirmed the entertainment executive’s death via his Instagram while sharing a picture of hers.

Ayiam-Osigwe who was also the President of the Association of Movie Producers was reportedly in a coma before she breathed her last.

In 2012, Anyiam-Osigwe was bestowed a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic by the Nigerian government for her contribution to the entertainment industry] She was a TED fellow.

Otherwise called “the queen of Nollywood films” was said to have directed the first music video of hip-hop sensation, P-Square.
