The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to alleged plan by the former governor of the state, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to dump the party.
DAILY REPORT NG reports that rumours making the rounds claim that Amaechi has dumped the APC.
Reacting to the development, the APC in Rivers state insisted that the Minister of Transportation, has no plan to leave the party.

At a press conference held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, the state APC spokesman, Senibo Chris Finebone, affirmed that Amaechi remains a loyal member of the party.
According to him: “Let me use this opportunity to raise the alarm that just yesterday, (Tuesday) evil people launched fake news concerning our leader, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, purporting that he has resigned from the APC.
“He remains a loyal member of the APC and he has re-iterated this at every opportunity and that he would work to ensure the Party resoundingly wins the 2023 elections”.

He also accused former Senator Magnus Abe of conniving with the state Governor, Nyesom Wike to destabilize the state APC over the years.
