Now 54, he’ll attend executive meetings and play a leading role in shaping key policies and projects.
He was once the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Even after losing out on a seat in the FIFA Executive Council, he still stands as one of only three Nigerians to have served there along with Oyo Orok Oyo and Amos Adamu.
Pinnick was selected by Motsepe for this advising role because he valued his worldwide contacts and knowledge, especially as African football strives for growth, improved collaborations, and internal transformation.
Though it’s officially an advisory post, it could significantly influence the future of the sport across Africa.
