Afrobeats superstar Davido has issued an apology to his fans in Delta State for his absence at the Warri Again event held on October 6, 2023.
The event was organized by the former president of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick.
Pinnick claimed that Davido was paid $98,000 by the organizers and that they also spent $18,000 on a private jet to transport him to Delta State.
Despite agreeing to the date and accepting payment, Davido failed to show up at the event, according to Pinnick.

In response, Davido accused Pinnick of being a corrupt football administrator under whose leadership Nigerian footballers were owed salaries and allowances.
Pinnick stated that Davido would not be welcomed in Delta State ever again.
However, Davido responded by stating that nobody can stop him from performing in any part of Nigeria.
In his apology on Instagram, Davido explained that he had already informed the Warri Again organizers about his inability to attend the show due to a scheduling conflict with his concert in New Zealand.
The Fem Singer stated that despite this, the organizers still promoted the show using his name.
Davido apologized to his Warri fans who were disappointed by his absence and promised to bring his “Timeless Xperience Concert” to Delta State soon.
The Delta State Timeless album concert will be the second after the Tafawa Balewa Square Lagos concert.
