A 28-year-old Nigerian businesswoman and socialite, Amelia Pounds, has reportedly died in New Delhi, India, following complications during liposuction surgery.
According to reports, Pounds passed away on Friday morning, October 7, 2022.
It is however, unclear what led to the complications as she was said to have given up the ghost while being operated on at the hospital.

In a video filmed shortly after she passed, the doctor was heard apologising to her.
Similarly, Vera Sidika a few days ago took to Instagram to warn women against undergoing cosmetic surgery.
Sidika, a Kenyan socialite, shared on Wednesday, October 5, a photo of her new body, with her bum much flatter than usual. She was known for her curvy physique.
The lady further disclosed that her now flatter bum was developed by complications as a result of the surgeries done in the past.
While displaying photos from the corrective surgery she had recently, Sidika attested that God gave her a second chance to start over.
She then warned young women again to learn from her.
She said:
“This will truly help many girls out there trying to go down that path.“I might not have the body y’all are used to seeing but I’m alive and nothing beats that.”
