Aminu Muhammed Released from Custody after 3 Weeks

The University student, Aminu Muhammed who was arrested for allegedly criticising Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari has regained his freedom.

He had alleged that Aisha was feeding fat public funds while the citizens suffered.

He was arrested by the police on November 8 and handed over to the State Security Service.

Thereafter, it was gathered that the SSS took him to the Presidential Villa in Abuja where he was beaten and humiliated by the president’s wife.

Meanwhile, he was freed on December 2 and was said to meet with the president at the State House.

However, the outcome of the meeting was yet unknown as of press time.

Outrage trailed Muhammed’s ordeal after the news broke.

Condemnation mounted against the First Lady after reports stated that the 23-year-old was secretly arraigned before a court in Abuja and remanded in custody on November 20.

Fortunately, Muhammed was now a free man having spent 21 days in detention.
