Amotekun Arrests Nursing Mother For Fraud In Osun | Daily Report Nigeria

A 31-year-old nursing mother, Taiwo Badru has been arrested by the Amotekun Corps in Osun State for fraud.

Badru, who resides in Ororuwo town, Boripe local government area of the state was alleged to have impersonated a bank manager.

While addressing the press during a suspect parade on Tuesday in Osogbo the Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Isaac Omoyele, CSP retired revealed that the suspect was arrested on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Omoyele said, “On Saturday, October 19, 2024, at about 1245hrs, on a tip-off, one Taiwo Badru, ‘f’ aged 31 years of Ororuwo town in Iragbiji who specialised in duping people with a masculine voice on the phone that she is speaking from a bank to give loan was arrested.

“She has done this in Lagos State before relocating to Osun State.

“She ran out of luck when nemesis caught up with her after fraudulently collecting the sum of N4.5 million from one Fatai Saidi in Ororuwo.

“She had staged the victim for another sum of money before she was arrested by Amotekun operatives.”

Omoyele revealed that she has confessed to the crime adding that she used the proceeds to maintain her family.

Other suspects paraded were allegedly arrested for theft and obtaining money by false pretence.

The suspects are Musbau Saheed Ganiyu, Afeez Ayuba, Awal Adebayo, Ilerioluwa Nurudeen, Olalekan Mashood, Kayode Odesanmi and Rasheed Abdullahi.

The Osun Amotekun boss disclosed that the suspects would be handed over to the appropriate security agency after the conclusion of investigation
