Anambra Government Reacts To Reports of Obiano Asking Workers To Submit PVCs

Anambra Government Reacts To Reports of Obiano Asking Workers To Submit PVCs | Daily Report Nigeria
Anambra commissioner for information, C. Don Adinuba has described reports making the rounds that civil servants in the state are being directed to submit their permanent voter cards (PVCs) as false.

This is in reaction to reports that senator Andy Uba gubernatorial campaign organisation (SAUGCO), alledged that the state government is requesting the PVCs of workers in the state.

Andy Ubah is the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 6 election.

Reacting to the report on Monday, the commissioner denied the allegation, accusing the APC and Uba’s campaign organisation of peddling the “propaganda” to deceive the former senator.

In a statement issued, Adinuba said: “This afternoon, the propagandists issued a press statement claiming that Governor Willie Obiano has directed all civil servants to submit their permanent voters’ cards (PVCs) to him,”

“How all civil servants in the state can personally and directly hand over their voters’ cards to the governor is a conundrum which only these funny propagandists can resolve. The so-called directive or circular has no reference number nor date.

“Of course, the propagandists could not reproduce the alleged directive. All this shows that the press statement is lower than ordinary fake news.

“The flurry of bizarre statements emanating daily from both the Anambra State APC and the Andy Ubah Governorship Campaign Organisation owes to only one thing: a desperation to swindle a fortune from the supposed APC gubernatorial candidate while the electioneering campaign lasts.”
