Anambra: Soludo Ends Sit-at-Home, Orders Civil Servants to Work Mondays

Anambra State Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo has directed public servants in the state to henceforth desist from obeying any sit-at-home order in the state.

The governor also ordered civil servants in Anambra State resume work on Mondays, and every other weekday.

Soludo’s directive was contained in a circular dated today 25th March 2022, by the Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe.

According to the directive, absence from work on Mondays and any other day without approval shall be seen as gross misconduct which “shall attract appropriate sanctions”.

Sit-at-Home was implemented by the Indigenous People of Biafra, as a measure to protest against the activities of the Nigerian government and perceived oppression.

Meanwhile, IPOB has assured Governor Soludo it will cooperate with the new administration if the government assures of the safety of its members.
