The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has confirmed receipt of N100 million donated by youths from Kogi State to purchase the 2027 nomination and expression of interest forms for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, led the delegation of young people to formally present the cheque to the ruling party on Monday.

The funds are expected to cover the cost of both the Nomination and Expression of Interest forms ahead of the party’s presidential primary for the 2027 general elections.
Receiving the cheque, Yilwatda disclosed that the Kogi youths were the second group to indicate interest in purchasing the President’s forms, although the first group had yet to make any financial commitment.
He, however, advised other individuals or groups planning similar gestures to shelve the idea, noting that the party had already received the required amount.

“We have both the cash in our accounts and the draft. This is not a voice note or promissory note. This is a commitment,” Yilwatda stated, commending the youths for what he described as a bold and patriotic move.
The APC chairman said the delegation cited improvements in the economy, security interventions in Kogi State, and youth inclusion in governance as reasons for supporting Tinubu’s second-term bid.
Governor Ododo, in his remarks, said no administration in Nigeria’s history had created as much space for youth participation in governance as the current one, adding that he was a beneficiary of such inclusion.
He described the donation as a show of appreciation and confidence in the President’s leadership ahead of the 2027 polls.
