APC Criticizes Yiaga Africa Allegations of Electoral Manipulation

TheĀ  All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized Yiaga Africa’s, (a civil society organization) allegations of electoral manipulation, describing its report as flawed and lacking credible evidence.

APC uged Yiaga Africa, to accept the results of the recent Edo state gubernatorial election.

In a statement, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka said, “Election observer missions do not have the mandate to declare or challenge results declared by INEC. Such actions violate both the Electoral Act and the Nigerian Constitution.”

The APC praised the Edo electorate for decisively choosing Senator Monday Okpebholo as the new governor and thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for fostering a conducive electoral environment.

The party also commended INEC for its professionalism during the election.
