Friday Nwosu, the National Welfare Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is dead.
The ruling party announced his demise in a tweet on Thursday night.
Nwosu reportedly died at a hospital in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The APC wrote;
“Words are not enough to describe the monumental loss brought by the passing of the party’s National Welfare Secretary, Sir Friday Nwanozie Nwosu on the APC family. May his soul rest in peace.”
Nwosu was a governorship aspirant in Abia State during the 2019 general election on the platform of the APC.
The deceased had once contested the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket with Okezie Ikpeazu, the incumbent governor of Abia pre-2015.
He further lost the ticket to Ikpeazu who was later sworn in as governor.
Meanwhile, the cause of his death was still unknown as of press time.
