Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker, has reacted to the demand by President Muhammadu Buhari, asking governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC to allow him pick his successor.

Recall that Buhari, had during a meeting asked APC governors to allow him pick the party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.

Reacting, the former Kaduna Central Senator said Buhari and the APC governors should allow the Southern part of Nigeria to produce the party’s presidential candidate.

In a tweet, Sani wrote: “The president and the ruling party Governors should honour their ‘gentleman agreement’ and allow for a southern candidate to emerge.”
