APC Slams PDP Over ‘callous’ Response To Stampede Tragedies

The All Progressives Congress has lambasted the Peoples Democratic Party for allegedly politicizing the recent stampede tragedies that claimed lives across the country.

APC spokesman, Felix Morka, described the PDP’s stance as “callous” and “grossly indecent.”

He stated that instead of commiserating with the victims and their families, the PDP chose to exploit the tragedies for political gain.

“The tragedies have brought together all well-meaning Nigerians in mourning and sober reflection on how the incidents might have been avoided through better planning and organization by all involved,” Morka said.

He also reminded Nigerians of the 2014 Nigerian Immigration Service recruitment exercise tragedy, which occurred under the PDP administration.

“Nigerians have not forgotten the tragic stampede at the ill-fated Nigerian Immigration Service recruitment exercise in 2014… that left many desperate job seekers dead and scores injured,” Morka added.

The APC spokesman emphasized that the PDP’s allegations only serve as a reminder of its “sordid record of maladministration and utter incompetence.”
