APC Tried To Rig Osun Election, Adeyanju Counters Buhari

Deji Adeyanju, a socio-political activist, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, governors of attempting to rig the just-concluded Osun state gubernatorial election.

DAILY REPORT NG reports that Buhari, while reacting to Osun governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke’s victory, had said the outcome of the election showed that the electorates spoke through the ballot.

The president, who said the election was an indication that democracy has come to stay, also promised to leave a legacy of a free and fair election when he leaves office

Reacting, Deji Adeyanju said Buhari did not allow a free and fair election in the Osun poll, insisting that the president and APC governors tried to rig the election till the last minute.

In a tweet, he wrote: “Buhari did not allow free & fair election in Osun. Both he & APC Governors tried to rig the election till the last minute.

“We must commend the people of the Osun for not sleeping and protecting their votes. The APC is not planning for a free & fair in February. Opposition, wake up.”
