Other notable members of the council include Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda as co-chairman, former Edo Governor and APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole as deputy chairman, and Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as assistant secretary.

The council also comprises Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, and other governors elected on the platform of the APC.

Notably, the reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo, Philip Shaibu, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, is also a member of the council.

The APC governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, will face candidates from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, Asue Ighodalo, and the Labour Party, Olumide Akpata, in the upcoming election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed September 21, 2024, for the governorship election in Edo State.
