The Development Alternatives Incorporated (DAI) is currently delivering results in over 80 countries and are recruiting for a skilled Local Government Area (LGA) Manager to join their team in Bauchi State.

Job Summary:

DAI is seeking an experienced LGA Manager to oversee and implement State2State interventions at the LGA level, ensuring timely preparation of political economy analysis and providing support to other State-led interventions.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial and technical delivery, program impact monitoring and evaluation, and reporting against results.

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage LGA-level interventions and ensure effective reform support
– Develop and implement high-impact interventions meeting Activity objectives
– Integrate cross-cutting considerations (gender, diversity, conflict sensitivity, environment)
– Maintain strategic relationships with government counterparts and stakeholders
– Provide training and mentoring to LGA finance and administration staff
– Track governance improvements at state and LGA levels

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in relevant fields (International Relations, Law, Management, Development Studies, etc.)
– 7+ years of relevant professional experience (or 5 years with a master’s degree)
– Experience working with USAID-funded programs or other large donor-funded programs
– Strong understanding of institutional change in complex environments
– Excellent communication and writing skills
– Fluency in English (oral and written) and working knowledge of local language
