The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Programme Assistant to join its team in Abuja, Nigeria.

Job Summary:

The Programme Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to the Operations team, ensuring seamless implementation of project plans and priorities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in disaster management, health management, or public health.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide administrative support for project implementation.

– Conduct research on emergencies, food, and livelihood needs.

– Support programme activities across the project cycle.

– Compile financial reports and assist in programme monitoring and evaluation.

– Maintain knowledge management systems and filing

Requirements:

– Relevant university degree in Disaster Management, Health Management, Public Health, or related fields.

– Minimum 2 years’ experience in Disaster Management/Health, Agric/Food Security projects.

– Basic secretarial skills.

– Experience working with international NGOs, writing reports, and M&E.

– Self-supporting in computers, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

– Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality.

– Fluency in English (written and spoken); French proficiency.
