Armed robbers, in the early hours of Monday, attacked an unnamed hotel in the Alagbado area of Lagos State.
The assailants, who held both workers and lodgers hostage, shot three employees during the incident.
It was said that the police swiftly responded to the distress call, and two members of the nine-man robbery gang were apprehended.
The criminals, along with others who remain at large, reportedly infiltrated Alagbado from Agbara in Ogun State.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the image maker for the state police command, confirmed both the attack and the subsequent arrests.
According to Hundeyin, the police swiftly engaged the robbers, preventing what could have been a bloodier outcome.
Upon arresting the perpetrators, the police recovered several items from them, including locally-made pistols, a Toyota Corolla Saloon car, expended ammunition, mobile phones, and personal belongings.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the gang consisted of nine members who entered the area from Agbara.
He further disclosed that the injured victims are currently receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital, adding that an investigation is ongoing to arrest the members at large.
