Arsenal and Tottenham are gearing up to make substantial bids, each around £100 million, in an attempt to secure the signature of Alexander Isak from Newcastle United during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Despite Magpies manager Eddie Howe’s firm stance that Isak is not up for grabs, both clubs are hopeful of capitalizing on Newcastle’s financial circumstances.
Newcastle’s chief executive, Darren Eales, has acknowledged the possibility of needing to offload players to adhere to profit and sustainability rules (PSR).

“If we’re going to get to where we want to get to, at times it is necessary to trade your players.
“In the world of PSR, everybody has their price,” Eales said.
Isak has been in stellar form this season, boasting an impressive tally of 14 goals in 21 Premier League appearances. The versatile 24-year-old, who primarily operates as a centre-forward but can also slot in as a winger, remains contracted to Newcastle until 2028.
Having arrived at St James’ Park from Real Sociedad in a £60 million deal two years ago, Alexander Isak has emerged as a key figure in Newcastle’s squad.
