Arsenal have been dealt another injury setback ahead of their Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on September 15, as concerns have emerged over the fitness of captain Martin Odegaard.
Norway’s head coach, Stale Solbakken, disclosed that Odegaard picked up a new knock while on international duty.
Odegaard had already sustained an ankle injury during Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Brighton at the Emirates Stadium, which saw him substituted in the 73rd minute for Gabriel Martinelli.

Despite the injury, he traveled with Norway’s squad for their Nations League opener against Kazakhstan. However, there is now uncertainty about whether he will feature in the upcoming match.
Solbakken clarified that Odegaard’s current issue might not be related to the knock he received in the Brighton game. “I don’t think it’s from the Brighton match,” Solbakken explained to reporters. “I believe it’s another incident, a different bang, so to speak.”
