Arsenal’s rising star Ethan Nwaneri is poised to secure a groundbreaking deal following significant interest from Manchester City, as revealed by sources to Football Insider.
Turning 17 on March 21, the talented 16-year-old is on the verge of transitioning from his current scholarship agreement to a professional contract with Arsenal. This move comes after intense competition among Premier League clubs vying for his talents.
Manchester City, in particular, have made a substantial offer for the attacking midfielder, while Chelsea has also expressed strong interest in securing his services.

Notably, Nwaneri is set to break records at Arsenal, as he will receive the highest-ever wages for an academy player in the club’s history as part of his contract.
Highly esteemed by manager Mikel Arteta and the club’s leadership, Nwaneri’s development since joining the academy in 2016 has been impressive.
Last season, he made his senior debut for Arsenal as a late substitute in their 3-0 victory against Brentford, becoming the youngest-ever Premier League player at just 15 years and 181 days old.
In the current season, Ethan Nwaneri has featured in the senior matchday squad on six occasions across all competitions. He notably made a second-half appearance in Arsenal’s dominant 6-0 victory over West Ham United last month (February 11).
