This achievement comes on the heels of Asake’s commercial breakthrough following the release of his smash hit single ‘Omo Ope’ in 2022.
In the 2023 rankings of the most streamed Nigerian artists, Asake dominated with an impressive 654 million streams across major platforms including Boomplay, Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.

Omah Lay secured the fourth position with 301 million streams, while Burna Boy rounded off the top 5 with 282 million streams, buoyed by the release of his seventh album ‘I Told Them’. This data underscores the growing influence and popularity of Nigerian artists in the global music landscape.
