Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has responded to criticism from former PDP chairman Bode George, suggesting that George should focus on advising President Bola Tinubu to reassess policies that have worsened poverty and divisions in Nigeria.

Atiku’s media adviser, Paul Ibe, stated that Atiku’s focus is on addressing current issues affecting Nigerians, not the 2027 elections.

“It is insensitive to be talking about 2027 now when the 2023 mandate has not yielded any tangible benefits for Nigerians,” Ibe said.

Ibe criticized George for discussing 2027 while Nigeria grapples with economic hardships under the current administration.

He urged George to counsel Tinubu to reconsider policies that have deepened poverty and divisions.
