Lere Olayinka, Special Adviser on Public Communication to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has accused former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, of sowing the seed of anti-party in the PDP.
According to Olayinka, Atiku’s actions in 2003, 2007, and 2014 still haunt the party.
Olayinka was reacting to claims by Atiku’s media aide, Paul Ibe, that Wike was involved in anti-party activities. Ibe had referred to a letter from the PDP to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) cancelling the South South Zonal Congress due to operational constraints.

Despite the letter, Wike’s camp conducted the Congress, with former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, in attendance.
Ibe claimed that Wike and his cohorts deliberately conducted the Congress to “create a crisis to serve the interest of his paymasters.”
However, Olayinka countered that Atiku’s followers should stop pushing the deceitful narrative of their principal running for the presidency again. “Better tell your serial presidential election contester and loser to go and rest,” Olayinka said.
“The seed of anti-party your @atiku sowed in the @OfficialPDPNig in 2003, 2007 and 2014 is still hunting the party till today.”

Olayinka also questioned the validity of the letter, pointing out that it took five days to reach INEC and was received three days after the Congress was held.
“I pray that very soon, those ‘Atiku is Coming’ people who are feeding from @atiku’s elusive presidential ambition will have the conscience to say the truth and tell the former VP that he lost the opportunity to be the President of Nigeria to his 2003, 2007 and 2014 rebellions against the @OfficialPDPNig.”
He added, “Rather than their masturbation on @GovWike this, Wike that, they should fear God and stop their ATIKU IS COMING deceit. It is time for Daddy to rest now and let the PDP breathe. DAZZOL.”
Woo Tinubu to join PDP – Group challenges Wike
A group, PDP Frontiers for Change and Progress, has urged Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to prove his loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by wooing President Bola Tinubu to join the party.
The group’s National Coordinator, Emeka Ikpegbu, questioned Wike’s loyalty, saying, “Wike should first bring his principal, President Bola Tinubu, who he praises every day to the PDP before preaching to us about anti-party.”
