Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen, expressed confidence in the team’s ability to adapt to various styles of play.

For the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Benin Republic on Saturday, Eguavoen opted for a 3-4-3 formation, which proved effective as the Super Eagles secured a convincing 3-0 victory.

Ademola Lookman netted twice, while substitute Victor Osimhen also found the back of the net.

Augustine Eguavoen emphasized that the team’s success was not just about the formation but also about the quality of the players.

He mentioned that with the caliber of talent in the squad, they could successfully execute any tactical approach.

The coach also highlighted the importance of mindset and preparation, noting that while the Super Eagles have the potential to defeat any team, they must always respect their opponents.

Looking ahead, the Super Eagles will now focus on their next match against Rwanda’s Amavubi, set to take place at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Tuesday.
