Augustine Eguavoen Denies Resignation Amid Super Eagles Draw with Rwanda

Augustine Eguavoen

Super Eagles interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has refuted claims that he has resigned from his position.

Reports emerged on Tuesday suggesting that Eguavoen had stepped down following the Super Eagles’ goalless draw with Rwanda. However, Eguavoen has clarified that these reports are false.

“It’s unfortunate that incorrect rumors are circulating, especially when we need positive support,” Eguavoen said upon the team’s return to Abuja, according to BSN Sports. “I only mentioned that I would discuss my future with the federation’s officials after these two games and plan for the next matches.”
