Auto Crash Kills 11 in Bauchi

At least eleven persons lost their lives in an auto crash along Hawan Jaki village on Alkaleri-Gombe Road in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State on Saturday.

Mr Yusuf Abdullahi, the state’s Sector Commander of, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday.

He added that eight other persons sustained serious injuries in the crash.

Narrating how the accident occurred, he said one commercial vehicle belonging to Yankari Express and a Dangote articulated vehicle was involved in the fatal crash.

More so, Abdullahi blamed the cause of the accident on dangerous driving.

Total number of those involved was twenty male adults. Nine of them died on the spot while two were later pronounced dead by medical personnel at the Alkaleri General Hospital.

He said:

Eight others sustained various degrees of injuries and are receiving treatment at the Alkaleri hospital where corpses of the dead were deposited.”

Abdullahi, hence advised motorists to always observe traffic rules and regulations while driving.
