Afrobeats artist Ayra Starr has spoken out against the shocking murder of Idowu Christianah, a 300-level student from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

Christianah was reportedly killed by her friend, Ayomide Adeleye, who is alleged to be a serial killer.

In a statement on her official X page, Ayra Starr condemned the violence and called for immediate justice for Christianah. She highlighted the urgent need to tackle violence against women and demanded better protection and treatment for them.

“Stop killing us! Stop raping us! Women deserve better,” she wrote, adding the hashtag #JusticeForChristianah.

This statement comes amid an investigation revealing that Adeleye, who was a close friend of Christianah, had kidnapped, murdered, and buried her body on his property. Reports also indicate that Adeleye has been previously linked to the deaths of his ex-girlfriend and his sister in 2018 and 2020, respectively.
