Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has shared why she remains unfazed by negative criticisms. The ‘Bloody Samaritan’ artist explained that she doesn’t let it affect her because many of her critics are dealing with their own struggles, such as depression and poverty.
In a recent interview with Dose Society, Ayra Starr emphasized that worrying about others’ opinions is a waste of time. She said, “What matters less? I think opinions and people’s perceptions of you don’t matter. Trust me, people are living their lives. Everybody is busy. People are hungry. Stop caring and stop thinking about what people think of you. Life is hard. Just do you.”
She continued, “Sometimes, you’re overthinking, ‘what does this person think about me?’ Meanwhile, they’re just wondering if they’ll make it home today. There’s a lot happening in the world, and if you spend your time worrying about others’ opinions, you’re just wasting time. Do you, find yourself, and be confident. Don’t care about the outcome. Just act. Don’t be afraid to fail. Fail as many times as you need to, but when you succeed, you’ll be so proud of yourself.”
