Bandit Leader, Bello Turji Releases 52 Kidnap Victims | Daily Report Nigeria

Self-acclaimed bandits leader and kidnap kingpin, Bello Turji has set free about 52 of his victims.

The released victim were said to have been in captivity for far too long.

Daily Report Nigeria recalls that Turji, the arrowhead of killings and kidnappings around Shinkafi – Sabon Birni and Isah local government areas of Zamfara and Sokoto states, had written the Shinkafi Emirate Council in December 2021, of his readiness to lay down his arms to embrace peace.

A community source who spoke under anonymity, told Daily Trust that the freed victims have been moved from to an agreed spot where they will be ferried to Shinkafi town.

“The freed captives are currently being moved from the forest to an agreed spot where they will be ferried to Shinkafi town.

“Buses have been lined up and have been directed to start moving towards Maberiya, an area just 5km east of Shinkafi town.”
