Kimbi identified the eight attackers holding AK47 rifles.

He further revealed the bandits came solely for the police in the community as there where no other destruction recorded.

The community leader said:

“The attack happened on Monday morning around 1:00 am and in the process, the hoodlums burnt the vehicle to ashes.

“However, the bandits did not kill or kidnap anyone during the attack. I think their only target was to destroy the armoured vehicle.”

However, it was gathered that many villagers had fled Kimbi for fear of a possible attack.

Kembi confirmed that security agents had visited the village to ensure serenity was restored.

He added that many residents were going about normal daily activities.

Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Police Command and the State government were yet to react to the attack as of press time.
