No fewer than 16 persons have been killed by bandits who attacked different communities of Taraba State.
The bandits were said to have stormed the communities in their numbers during the weekend and whisked away several persons.

The bandits invaded different communities including Gidado and Garinkuka villages in Gunduma district of Mutum-Biyu chiefdom in Gassol Local Government Area.
One Abdullahi Chul, a staff of the local government, who confirmed the incident said the attackers who invaded the communities in their numbers, stormed the villages on motorbikes.
According to him, the attackers, on arriving in the communities, started shooting sporadically.
He also noted that so many persons escaped with gunshot injuries.
