Male Organ Goes 'Missing' Inside Niger Government House

Bandits have killed Sale Yakubu Allawa, a councilor in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

It was gathered that the councilor, along with his personal assistant was on the way to their village in Alawa, when they were intercepted around Zumba road by the gunmen.

The councilor was said to have been attacked and killed while his personal assistant escaped.

The Niger State Commissioner for Internal Security and Humanitarian Affairs, Emmanuel Umar, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Saturday.

The Commissioner said that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the criminals. He called on the villagers to avail the security agents of useful information that could easily lead to the arrest of the criminals

It was gathered that the deceased was a former member of the vigilante group who might have been blacklisted by the terrorist groups in the area.

A source in the village said angry youths in the area swung into action by embarking on a search of the bandits in the area and eventually succeeded in apprehending an informant at Gwada town.

The informant was handed over to the police for more investigation and prosecution.

A youth leader who spoke on the condition of anonymity during an interview with Vanguard said,

“We will continue to work hand in hand with all Security Agencies in the area towards exposing and apprehending both informants and criminals alike in the area because we are tired of these incessant killings in the area.”
