Hulaira Hussaini Ardo, the senior wife of Fulani Chief, Malam Hussaini Ardo, has been shot dead by bandits after they collected a whooping N2 million ransom from the family in Kaduna State.
They kidnapped the four wives of Ardo after invading his residence late February 11 2023.
The bandits subsequently demanded for ransom in money and foodstuffs to release of the four wives.
The items were taken to the leader of the bandits in a forest between Kagarko and Kachia respectively.
Upon receiving the ransom, the leader of the bandits shot the senior wife and set free the remaining thee wives.
They also refused to release the corpse of the senior wife, family members said.
