Barcelona confirmed he signed the paperwork and that “The disciplinary file is considered closed and the player regains the first-team captaincy with immediate effect.”

Earlier this week the club opened a disciplinary file and briefly removed the armband while it tried to share his medical report with LaLiga.
Barcelona wanted the injury classed as a long-term case to free up part of his wages for registration under financial-fair-play rules.
Without the player’s written consent, the club could not send the report.
Ter Stegen hit back on social media, calling some coverage “entirely unfounded.” He wrote:
“I am fully willing to collaborate with the club’s management to resolve this matter and to provide the requested authorisation.”
He added the surgery had the club’s approval and that his priority remains a full recovery and returning to help the team.
The club faces tight LaLiga registration limits as the new season nears.
Ter Stegen said his operation should not block new signings and offered full support to his teammates as Barcelona work through the rules.
The goalkeeping spot now looks highly competitive: young signing Joan García pushes for a place while veteran Wojciech Szczesny keeps pressure after his recent contract extension.
